Putting Faith into Action

It is through your generosity that we are able to live into our vision of walking with the people of Spirit Lake Nation, united in faith, sharing the love of Christ. Thank you for your support of the Spirit Lake Ministry Center.

Please refer to the imagine at the bottom of this page if you have any difficulties making your donation.

Your Generosity Changes Lives and Communities

The Journey at Spirit Lake

The Journey at Spirit Lake, is based on the Dakota name “Wanagi Can Ku,” which means Spirit Road. Our congregation, worshipping at the Ministry Center, is a group dedicated to God and committed to sharing time and bread with one another. Your faithfulness in giving helps make this possible!

The Journey Congregation worships every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Worship includes time to learn more about God, music, fun, laughter, Communion, and a meal together at least once a month. Spirit Lake Nation youth meet once a week for Youth Group, and the congregation plans regular opportunities for community and fellowship.

Work Teams

Your generosity makes it possible for work teams from all over the country to partner with us in helping the members of our community. Through building projects, meals, fellowship, and cultural exchanges, teams have the opportunity to grow in their relationships with each other, the Spirit Lake Nation community, with God and all that God has and is creating. Teams then take both their skills and their experiences home with them in ways that continue to impact their communities at home and those in and around Spirit Lake Ministry Center. We couldn’t do it without you.

Shoebox Christmas

Each year, individuals, churches, and others from around the country assemble gift-filled shoeboxes and deliver them to Spirit Lake Ministry Center. These boxes are filled with toys and necessities for children, ranging from infants to teenagers.

With the help of our community, we are able to receive, sort, stuff, and deliver thousands of shoeboxes across the Dakotas and Minnesota. In 2023, we delivered over 5,000 boxes, and in 2024, we will be delivering over 6,000 boxes. Your gifts help make it possible for us to give the gift of hope, peace, joy, and love to children throughout our region.
